Web Design Pricing: Clear Prices, No Surprises
This is my web design pricing, all on one page: what a website costs, what each monthly plan includes, and how I bill for anything outside a plan. If something isn't listed here, I'll tell you the price before I do the work.

Typical website
About $6,500 to $9,000
Exact quote after our free conversation
Every site I build is a custom WordPress site, so there's no one-size-fits-all price. Most small business websites land between about $6,500 and $9,000. After we talk, I'll send you a written proposal with one exact price, so you know the full cost before anything starts.
Payment is 50% to start and 50% at launch.
What a typical website includes
About 5 to 8 pages, such as Home, About, your main services, and Contact
Keyword research for your business and the area you serve
A look at your competitors: what they do well and what they're missing
A mock layout you approve before I build, with a plan for how visitors move through the site toward calling or contacting you
Writing for every page, in plain English
The build in WordPress, set up to work well on phones
On-page SEO basics on every page (titles, descriptions, headings, and internal links)
Stock photos
A simple contact form
Visitor tracking set up and explained in plain English: how many people visit, where they come from, and which pages they read
What changes the website design cost
Number of pages. More service pages means more writing and more building.
Who writes the words. If you already have good text, that part goes faster.
Anything beyond a brochure-style site. Custom features are quoted separately (see "What's Not Included" below).
SEO Plans: New Pages Every Month
Each SEO plan adds new pages to your site every month, aimed at the searches your customers actually type, and sends you a one-page report in plain English: what happened, what I did, and what's next. Rankings are up to Google, so I don't promise them. What I can promise is steady, useful work on your site, explained in a way that makes sense.

Every SEO plan includes Hosting & Care, so your site is hosted, backed up, and kept up to date.
What's a page?
A page can be an article, a service page, a page explaining one of your services, or any other new page. Each one includes keyword research, writing up to about 1,500 words, the build in your site's design, on-page SEO, internal links, stock photos, and one round of revisions. Unused pages carry over for one month.
Hosting & Care: $150/month
Hosting & Care keeps your WordPress site running, safe, and up to date, with a real person to call when something looks wrong. It's included in every SEO plan, and you can also have it on its own.
Plus a monthly site health report: uptime, updates, backups, security, speed, and broken links.
Hosting and backups
Your site runs on my server, with daily backups stored off the server.
Updates
WordPress, your theme, and your plugins kept up to date.
Security and uptime monitoring
I watch for security problems and get alerted if your site goes down.
A person to call
Call me with any issue, and I'll reply within 1 business day.
What Hosting & Care doesn't cover
Hosting & Care doesn't include time for changes to your site, such as new text or photos; those are billed hourly. The same goes for fixing a problem you caused. Say you install a new plugin on your own and your site stops loading. Getting it working again is billed at my hourly rate. If something breaks because of an update I ran, fixing it is on me.
Not Ready for a Plan?
You don't have to sign up for anything monthly to work with me.
Single page
$400
One new page, one time. Same work as a plan page: keyword research, writing, the build, on-page SEO, and one round of revisions.
Hourly
$150/hour
Changes, fixes, and small projects outside a plan, billed for the time they take.
Hour blocks
$700 or $1,300
5 hours for $700 or 10 hours for $1,300. Buy time ahead at a lower rate and use it as needed. Blocks expire 12 months after purchase.
Consulting
$150/hour
Questions about your website, search, or marketing, answered straight. Billed at my hourly rate.
What You Own
Your domain is registered in your own name, in your own GoDaddy account. I can help you choose it and buy it, but it belongs to you. Your website and everything on it, including the words I write for you, are yours too.
What's Not Included
Fixes for problems you caused. Billed hourly (see Hosting & Care above).
Custom features. Custom forms (multi-step quote forms, payment forms), booking systems, and customer portals are quoted separately, if they fit the project at all. Most of my clients want a site that clearly explains what they do, and that's what I build best.
Paid ads. I don't run Google Ads or social media ads. My work is your website and getting it found in search.
How It Works
1
A free conversation
We sit down (or talk by phone) about your business, your customers, and what you want your site to do. No pressure, and no cost.
2
A written proposal
I send you one exact price, what's included, and how payment works.
3
The build
Keyword and competitor research first, then a mock layout you approve, then the writing and the build.
4
Launch
Your site goes live, I set up visitor tracking and walk you through it, and your Hosting & Care or SEO plan starts if you chose one.
Web Design Pricing Questions
What counts as a "page"?
An article, a service page, a page explaining one of your services, or any other new page. Each one is up to about 1,500 words and includes keyword research, writing, the build, on-page SEO, internal links, stock photos, and one round of revisions. Pages you don't use in a month carry over for one month.
Can I start small?
Yes. You can start with Hosting & Care, a single new page, or a block of hours, and talk about an SEO plan when it makes sense for your business.
How fast will you reply?
On Hosting & Care, SEO Growth, and SEO Accelerate, I reply within 1 business day. On Market Leader, I reply the same business day when your site is down or broken.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. Google decides its own results. What I promise is steady work on your site and an honest report every month.
What's in the monthly report?
One page in plain English: what happened, what I did, and what's next. SEO plan reports also cover your new pages, how your site is showing up in Google search, and leads from forms and calls.
Not Sure Which Option Fits?
Pricing pages can only say so much. Let's talk about your business, and I'll give you an honest recommendation, even if that means starting small or waiting.
