WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
Get Found by Customers Searching in Wichita Falls
When someone in Wichita Falls needs a plumber, a vet, or an accountant, they pull out their phone and search. If you searched "SEO Wichita Falls" to find help, here's what it comes down to: does Google show your business, and does what they find make them call? I help small businesses set up their Google Business Profile and their website so the answer is yes, and I explain every step in plain English, mostly by phone.
The basics
What Local SEO Really Means for Your Business
SEO, short for search engine optimization, sounds technical, and a lot of companies like to keep it that way. For a local business it mostly means two things: helping Google understand what you do and where you do it, and making sure that what customers find convinces them to pick up the phone.
For most local searches, Google shows a map with a few businesses at the top, then websites below it. Two things decide whether you show up:
Your Google Business Profile. That's your free listing on Google Maps and in the map results: your name, phone number, hours, services, photos, and reviews. For a business that serves local customers, it's often the first thing a customer sees.
Your website. Google reads your site to confirm what the profile says, and customers visit it to decide whether to call. A profile that points to a thin website, or to no website at all, leaves both of them guessing.
Neither one does the whole job alone. The businesses that show up well usually have a complete profile and a website that backs it up with a clear page for each service.
If you'd like the bigger picture first, my guide to what SEO is for small businesses starts at the beginning.

People Here Search for the Service, Not the Town
Here's something that surprises a lot of owners. People in Wichita Falls almost never type "Wichita Falls" into a search. They type "ac repair" or "electrician near me" and let Google work out where they are. Searches that include the town name barely register; the plain service searches are where the customers are.
420
Google searches a month for AC repair and HVAC from inside Wichita Falls
Google keyword data, 12-month average, as of Nov 2026 (ac repair, air conditioning repair, hvac, hvac near me).
140
searches a month for "google business profile" from inside Wichita Falls
Google keyword data, 12-month average, as of Nov 2026.
That changes what SEO has to do. Since the customer never says where they are, Google decides which businesses to show based on location and on how clearly each business says where it works and what it does. Your Google Business Profile and your website are where you tell it.
"Near me" searches make the point even sharper. In Wichita Falls, "electrician near me" is searched about 110 times a month, a bit more than plain "electrician." Someone searching that way wants a business close by, and Google answers with the map. If your profile is incomplete, or your categories and services don't match what you actually do, you may not be in that short list at all.
Local owners are paying attention, too: "google business profile" is searched more from inside Wichita Falls than any other website or marketing search I checked. For a plain-English walk-through of the profile, read my guide to local SEO and your Google Business Profile.
What works
What Helps a Wichita Falls Business Show Up
There's no trick to local SEO. It's a handful of things done carefully and kept up over time.
A complete, accurate Google Business Profile. The right main category, your real service area, your hours, a description written the way a customer would say it, and photos of your actual work. The details matter more than most owners expect, and the categories matter most.
The same name, phone number, and services everywhere. Your profile, your website, and the other places your business is listed should all agree. When they don't, Google is less sure which information to trust.
A page on your website for each main service. A locksmith who does lockouts, rekeying, and car keys has three different customers searching three different ways. A page for each one gives Google a clear match for each search, and gives the customer the answer they came for. My guide to SEO keywords and how customers search explains how to find the words your customers really use.
Your service area, stated plainly on your site. If you cover Wichita Falls plus the smaller towns around it, name them in plain words on the pages where they fit. Google can't give you credit for an area you never mention.
New, helpful pages over time. Customers ask questions before they call: How much does this usually cost? How long will it take? Do I need it at all? Each page that answers one well is another way for a customer to find you. That's what my monthly SEO plans are built around.
Not sure where your own site stands? You can check your website's SEO status yourself in about 15 minutes, or send it to me for a website and SEO check and an honest read on what to fix first.

Standing Out in Wichita Falls Is Doable
Wichita Falls is a real market, not a tiny one. It has a hospital system, a university, and Sheppard Air Force Base, home of what the base calls the Air Force's largest and most diverse training installation. Plenty of companies want your marketing budget, too: about 16 web design and marketing businesses show up on Google Maps here.
But in most trades, you aren't up against a long list of polished profiles and helpful websites. A business that does the basics well, and keeps doing them, has real room to stand out.
The base matters here too. Military families move in and out all the time, and someone new to town has no neighbor to ask for a good vet. "Veterinarian" alone is searched about 210 times a month from inside Wichita Falls. Those customers pick from what Google shows them, so a strong profile and a clear website reach people word of mouth never will.
One honest warning: I can't promise you a spot in the map results, and nobody else can either. Be wary of any SEO company that promises rankings. What I can promise is careful work, done the way Google says it wants, and a plain-English report on what's happening.

SEO Wichita Falls Questions
Do you work with businesses in Wichita Falls?
Yes. I'm based in Young County and I'm in Wichita Falls often. Most of my work with clients happens by phone or video call, which tends to suit busy owners best, and in-person meetings can be arranged if you'd like one.
Can you just fix my Google Business Profile?
Every website I build includes setting up or claiming your profile. If you already have a site and only want help with the profile, we can do that as hourly consulting. Just know that a profile works best with a website that backs it up, so I'll tell you honestly if your site is holding it back.
Do I need SEO if most of my customers come from word of mouth?
Maybe not much. But people who hear your name from a friend usually look you up before they call, and what they find should make them feel sure. More in do I need a website for my small business?
How is choosing an SEO company in Wichita Falls different from anywhere else?
It isn't, really. Ask what they'll actually do each month, what you'll see in the reports, and how they'll explain progress to you. Walk away from anyone who guarantees a number-one spot. A good SEO company should be able to explain everything in plain English.
How much does SEO cost?
It depends on how much you'd like done each month. You can see the SEO plans alongside my web design pricing, and after our free conversation I'll recommend the one that fits, including telling you if you don't need a plan yet.
Too busy to figure all this out?
You don't have to. Tell me about your business, and I'll walk you through every step.
