Last updated November 5, 2026. What this site collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.

The Short Version

I collect only what you choose to send me through a form on this site, and I use it only to reply to you. I don't sell it, rent it, or add you to a mailing list. I also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, so I can make it more helpful. This page explains the details in plain English.

Who I Am

This site belongs to Setrik Web Design, run by Curtis Flowers in Olney, Texas. When this page says "I" or "me," that's who it means. If you have a question about your information, call me at 940-228-4540 or send a note through the Contact page.

What I Collect and Why

When you fill out a form. The Contact form asks for your name, email, phone, business name, website, and a message. The Free Site Check form asks for your name, email, phone, website, and a message. I use that information to reply to you and, for a site check, to look at the website you sent me.

When you visit a page. Like nearly every website, the server keeps a standard log of visits: your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for, and the time. I use those logs only to keep the site running and secure. The site also uses two analytics tools, explained under Cookies and Tracking below.

The site doesn't ask you to create an account, doesn't take payments, and doesn't have comments.

Where Your Information Goes

A form message is emailed to me through Google Workspace and saved in the site's database, so nothing gets lost. The site runs on my own server, and that server is backed up every night to Backblaze, a cloud backup service, so a copy of the database (including saved form messages) lives in those backups.

Visit information from the analytics tools goes to Google and Microsoft, who handle it under their own privacy policies: Google's privacy policy and Microsoft's privacy statement.

I don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies and Tracking

This site uses two tools that set cookies in your browser, so I can see how the site is used and make the pages more helpful.

Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages people read, how they found the site (for example, a Google search), roughly where they are (city or region), what kind of device and browser they use, how far they scroll, and which buttons, phone links, and forms they use. It doesn't tell me who you are. You can opt out on every site with Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Microsoft Clarity shows how people move through a page: where they click, how far they scroll, and anonymous replays of visits. Anything you type into a form is hidden from those replays.

I use this information only to improve the site. The site doesn't use advertising trackers, and I don't sell or share visit data for ads. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site works fine without them.

How Long I Keep It

I keep form messages as long as they're useful for talking with you or working together. If we never end up working together, you can ask me to delete your messages any time. Server logs and backups roll off on their own over time, and Google Analytics keeps visit data for 14 months.

Your Choices

You can ask me what information I have about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just call or use the Contact page, and I'll take care of it.

Keeping It Safe

Every page on this site uses a secure (HTTPS) connection, so what you type into a form is encrypted on its way to me. The site and server are kept up to date, and only I have access to them.

Children

This site is written for business owners. It isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Page

If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
