GRAHAM, TEXAS
Be the Business People Find When They Look You Up in Graham
In Graham, customers usually hear about you first and search for you second. Someone mentions your name at church or at the feed store, and that evening they look you up on their phone. I help small businesses set up their Google Business Profile and their website so that search ends with a phone call, and I explain every step in plain English, mostly by phone.
The basics
What Local SEO Does for a Small-Town Business
SEO Graham TX owners can use isn't about chasing strangers across the state. SEO, short for search engine optimization, just means helping Google understand who you are, what you do, and where you do it, so it can show you to the people looking. In a small town, many of those people already have your name. Local SEO makes sure they find you, and not someone else, when they search for it.
There are really two kinds of searches that matter here:
Searches for your name. A neighbor says, "Call the folks who redid our kitchen." The person types your business name into Google. What shows up is usually your Google Business Profile: your free listing on Google Maps, with your phone number, hours, and services. If it's missing, out of date, or hard to tell apart from a business with a similar name, that recommendation can slip away.
Searches for what you do. Someone new to the area, or someone without a recommendation, types "plumber" or "dog groomer" and lets Google work out where they are. Google answers with a map and a short list of nearby businesses.
Your profile and your website work as a pair for both. The profile gets you seen; the website answers the questions that decide whether someone calls. If you're starting from scratch, my plain-English guide to what SEO is for small businesses covers the basics first.

In a Small Town, Your Google Listing Is Your Front Door
Graham is the county seat of Young County, and most of the businesses here are small. Many are run by the owner and one or two helpers, which usually means nobody has time to keep a Google listing up to date.

web design business in Graham showing on Google Maps when I searched from town
My own Google Maps check, Nov 2026.
That last number says a lot. When I checked what Google shows from Graham for my own trade, there was one local business on the map, and the regular results below it were mostly pages about other towns. Google wants to show nearby businesses. In a town this size, it often doesn't have many good ones to choose from.
When Google can't find a clear local listing, it fills the space with whatever it has: a business from the next county or a directory page. A business that gives Google clear information has a real chance to be the one it shows.
It also matters for the people word of mouth can't reach: families who just moved in, students at the North Central Texas College campus, and customers from the smaller towns around Graham who don't know who to call yet. They pick from what Google shows them. My guide to local SEO and your Google Business Profile explains how Google chooses which nearby businesses to show.
What works
What Helps a Graham Business Show Up on Google
None of this is complicated. It's a short list of things done carefully, then kept current.
A profile that's complete and correct. Setting up a Google Business Profile Graham customers can rely on means the right main category, your real hours (including the days you close early), the towns you serve, a description in plain words, and a phone number that rings. Small details count here. A wrong category can keep you out of the searches you want.
One name, everywhere. If your sign, your profile, and your website each say something different, Google isn't sure they're the same business. Pick one version of your name and phone number and use it everywhere.
A website that says what the profile says. Google checks your website to confirm what your profile claims. A one-page site with a logo and a phone number gives it very little to go on. A page for each main service, and a plain line about the towns you cover, gives it plenty. Here's how SEO keywords match the way customers search, and why the words on those pages matter.
A look at who else shows up. In a small town, you can often see your whole online competition on one screen. Spending ten minutes on what they do well, and what they leave out, tells you where your opening is. Here's how to do competitor analysis the simple way.
Answers to the questions people ask before they call. Do you work on weekends? Do you take jobs out in the county? How long does a typical job take? Each page on your site that answers one well is another way for a customer to find you, and another reason to pick you. That's what my monthly SEO plans are built around.
Curious where you stand now? You can check your website's SEO status in about 15 minutes, or send it to me for a website and SEO check and an honest read on what to fix first.

Why the First Business to Show Up Well Has the Edge
In a big city, a business might spend years trying to move up a crowded list of competitors. In Graham, the list is usually short, and in some trades, nobody has done the basics well yet. The first business in a trade to have a complete profile and a clear website often becomes the obvious choice, simply because it's the one that looks most trustworthy when someone checks.
That head start tends to last, and it doesn't take a big budget, just steady work. If you also take jobs in Wichita Falls, a bigger and busier market, my page on SEO in Wichita Falls explains what changes there.
One honest note: I can't promise you a spot on the map, and nobody else can either. Be careful with any SEO company that promises rankings. What I can promise is careful work, done the way Google says it wants, and a plain-English report that shows what's happening.

The process
How We Work Together
SEO work happens mostly in the background, so it doesn't pull you away from your customers. We talk by phone or video call when there's something worth talking about, and I keep it short. If you'd rather sit down in person, I or someone from my team can meet you anywhere within about two hours of Olney, and Graham is well inside that.
1
A free conversation
We talk by phone about your business, the work you want more of, and what you've tried so far. No pressure, and no cost.
2
A look at where you stand
I check your website, your Google Business Profile, and what shows up when people search for what you do, then explain what I find in plain English.
3
A written proposal
One exact price and what's included, in writing. Nothing starts until you're comfortable with it.
4
The work, and the reports
The basics get fixed, new pages go up, and each month you get a report you can actually read. SEO takes time; here's an honest look at how long SEO takes.
SEO Graham TX Questions
Are you local to Graham?
I'm based in Young County, and I'm in Graham most days. I don't keep a storefront office. Most of my work happens by phone or video call, which is usually easiest for a busy owner, and an in-person meeting can be arranged if you'd like one.
Everybody here already knows me. Why would I need SEO?
The people who know you are the easy part. The people they send to you still look you up first, and newcomers and folks from nearby towns don't know you at all. A complete Google listing and a clear website make sure both groups land on you. More in do I need a website for my small business?
Can you just set up my Google Business Profile?
Every website I build includes setting up or claiming your profile. If you already have a website and only want help with the profile, we can do that as hourly consulting. I'll also tell you honestly if your website is what's holding the profile back.
How long until I see a difference?
It varies. Fixing a profile can help fairly quickly, while new pages usually take months to build up. In a town with little competition online, the basics often go further than they would in a city, but I can't promise a timeline or a ranking.
How much does SEO cost?
It depends on how much you'd like done each month. You can see the SEO plans on my pricing page, and after our free conversation I'll recommend the one that fits, including telling you if you don't need a plan yet.
Want the people who hear your name to find you?
Tell me about your business, and I'll walk you through every step, by phone, on your schedule.
